The Blagtoof WarTribe

Introduction

The Orcs are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are other races to judge them? Elves who have failed, or Humans on the road to ruin in their turn. And why? Because the other races have sought answers to questions than an Orc wouldn't even bother to ask! You see a culture that is strong, and despise it as crude.

What we have here is nothing less than the inner most workings of the 'Greenskin Kultur' which plunder and ravage countless worlds alongside, and often BECAUSE of their Chaotic bretheren. In this admittedly LENGTHY section, you will find any and all information you would need to play an Orc, or for that matter any other equally brutish race in PnP RPGs and MMORPGs. From the assemblance of the Horde, often referred to as the Waargh, to animosity, to language. If you find yourself desiring to join The Blagtoof Orc WarTribe, this is the place to start reading. This is how we do it, this is how it should be done. The Blagtoof Orc WarTribe is the premier Orc Tribe.......online and anywhere else. Nobody does it better than this.

*Note- You do NOT have to be an Orc to be apart of the Blagtoof WarTribe!

That being said, the might of the greenskin horde holds a morbid fascination for the feeble pink-skinned races, and their commanders may look to this section for some kind of hint at besting the Horde. "Know thine enemy" is the phrase. Well good luck to them, they'll need it.
The Orcs aren't a subtle race. They like war and are supremely built for it. Their hugely muscled forms are almost immune to diseases and can survive wounds that would be fatal for almost any other race. Couple this with their total disdain for anything more suble than a severe beating and you have an army of violent monsters led by the biggest and most psychotic one of the lot.
And they are monsters - big, green-skinned monsters which loom over Men, Elves and Dwarfs. They have no traditional allies save for other equally brutish races they may live near. They do not act friendly towards the other "weaker" races either. You may often find an Orc Horde accompanied by a Minotaur, Ogre, Troll, Giant, and so on, etc. etc. Orcs also seem to have many enemies, but they are never daunted by this. In fact, they would never even consider it except to be pleased that they won't ever run out of people to fight.

The Great Greenskin Horde - Or The Waargh!!

When a green horde descends upon the land, it leaves little in its wake save devastation and ruin. Houses are burned and broken up for raw materials, crops are trampled, livestock eaten and rivers churned to mud. The size and destructive nature of the horde means that it must keep moving otherwise it would soon exhaust the local supplies of food and water and then inevitably turn upon itself.
If greenskins win a battle they feast on corpse-flesh for many days and what they cannot eat they heap into a great pile together with broken weapons, armor and all the ruin of war. When on the march, a green horde leaves ample evidence of its route amidst the general swathe of devastation. Tortured and murdered prisoners are left dangling from trees or buried up to their heads at busy crossroads as a grim reminder of just how lethal Orcish hospitality can be. When they make camp for the night, the greenskins dig huge roasting pits into which they throw whole carcasses of cattle as well as human captives. When they leave a camp, they pile their dung into a vast mound which they crudely sculpt into the looming shape of an Orchish God.

Greenskin Animosity

When greenskins get together they start to pick fights, bicker, and misbehave in all sorts of appalling ways. Even at the best of times, squabbling in the ranks can send a greenskin horde into disarray. One moment a Mob is striding purposefully towards the enemy, and the next it's brought to a halt whilst two or more greenies settle their differences. They pull faces, shout rude insults and hurl dung. They kick and bite. Snap and spit. They may even get the strange notion that the REST of the Mob are just "softies" compared to them and they charge headlong into the enemy with the intent to "show 'em how itz dun!"
*Note - Greenskin Animosity is a big factor within the Blagtoof Tribe. Learn to live with it if you plan to join us.

Orcs

Orcs are the largest as well as the toughest, meanest and by far the most dangerous of the greenskins. There are several kinds of Orc, as you will read, but the most numerous are just plain Orcs, or Common Orcs. Even the smallest Orc packs a great deal of bone, muscle and bloody-mindedness into a body as tall as a man and substantially broader. Orcs vary a great deal in size and appearance, with the biggest individuals in charge of the rest. The pecking order within each tribe is established by constant fighting, so only the meanest and nastiest Orcs get to the very top of the tribal ladder. The Orc types below are only found in the Blagtoof WarTribe.
What Orcs have in undeniable abundance is brute strength, made all the more dangerous by generous lashings of ignorance. They are not STUPID creatures, they just use a very rudamentary train of thought. To make matters worse, Orcs feel almost no pain and care little about discomfort, physical hurt, or even death, They enjoy nothing more than voilence and will happily face death in battle just so long as they get a chance to put up a good fight first.

Black Orcs

Black Orcs are not named so for their color. All greenies are green. Black Orcs usually have a darker pigment to their skin, but they are always green. They are the biggest and strongest of all Orcish breeds and because of this they are able to grab the best gear and are invariably better armored than the rest of the ladz. This also means that they are always in the thick of the fighting. Perhaps this is why there are so few Black Orcs and why they usually form the ruling clan of the Waargh.
*Note - Black Orcs are as dark a green as they come. If you decide to be a Black Orc, take the time at character creation to fix the skin pigmentation if possible.

Big'Unz

Orcs continue to grow throughout their lives. How big they get has nothing to do with what or how much they eat, but more to do with their status. The more important they get, the bigger they grow and the tougher and more important they become. Only when a tougher Orc runs up against a bigger, tougher and meaner boss Orc who firmly puts him in his place does he stop growing. This is a useful trait, as it makes it easy for an Orc to recognize other Orcs that are better than he is.......they're BIGGER! Amongst greenskins, bigger is always better.
*Note - Obviously, only the largest Orcs will be considered Big'Unz.

Savage Orcs

Due to the addling effects of heat and strong sunlight on the Orcish brain, the Orcs that inhabit equatorial regions are reckoned a complete bunch of primatives even by Orc standards. They use mostly stone or bone weapons and go around half-naked or worse. Savage Orcs eschew armor in favor of warpaint, tattoos and lucky charms. Many of these charms take the form of teeth and bones removed from evidently less lucky creatures. These grim tokens are worn around their necks or pushed through their lips, ears and noses. Savage Orcs are notoriously wild and ferocious, even moreso than other Orcs, and their enemies regard them as by far the most dangerous of their kind.
*Note - Savage Orcs forgo armor as much as possible and have as many tattooes as they can.

Runtz (or The Bloodaxe)

Runtz are what are to be considered Orc Children. Orcs that are naieve, inexperienced, young and new to the 'Greenskin Cause' are Runtz. While an Orc doesn't stay a Runt for very long, it's still an important stage for an Orc life. This is where the young Orc decides exactly how high he wishes to climb in the WarBand. Opposite to Human children, which are generally uncontrollable, loud and chaotic, Runtz spend their time learning to be "propur soldurz". Marching in orderly lines, keeping their "ooneyfermz" neat and clean.
*Note - Orcs that never "outgrow" this stage usually form what is considered an assault group in the Blagtoof WarTribe called "The BloodAxe".

Orc Wolf Riders

Orcs are naturally drawn to loud noises and fast things, so it's only natural that they raise wolves for their means of transportation. Orcs tend to pick the meanest, nastiest and foulest Wolves for their riding time to match their own personalities. Orcs will also form somewhat of a bond with their wolf, treating it far better than they would their own blood relatives. The speed and ferocity of the wolf makes it a perfect companion for an Orc, and only the richest Orcs ever become fulltime Wolf Riders.
*Note - Wolves in Blagtoof denote Rank. Certain color wolves are naturally more expensive, so the Nobs and the WarBoss have wolves that are specially bred just for them by temperment and color.

Goblins

In the green horde, all lesser, smaller and weaker greenskins are simply referred to as Grotz or Gobbos. The traditional name for these small, green, vicious, mean-spirited and generally unpleasant creatures is Goblin. Like all greenskins, Goblins are quarrelsome and fractious. They fight amongst themselves both on and off the battlefield, and feel little sense of loyalty to their own kind, let alone anyone else and will cheerfully maim, kill and even eat their comrades if they can get away with it. The only thing keeping Gobbos in line are the larger and meaner Orcs that will gladly pay (or bully) a Gobbo into marching to their doom for the Waargh. They are the slave laborers of Orc Society, the bottom of the proverbial food chain, thus if you're ever called a Grubby Git by an Orc, rest assured.....you've just been insulted.

Trolls, Ogres, Minotaurs, Giants, "Others"

Very often, the greenskin Horde picks up other like-minded creatures in their travels. Be they Giants looking to bag some food, Minotaurs looking for their own freedoms, Ogres that are just on leashes or Trolls, looking for their place in the world. Even more frequently, you'll see Trolls in the higher ranks of the Tribes due to their enjoyment of magic and shamanistic ways and their closer kinship with the greenskins than the other races you might find with Orcs. This being said, it is not unlikely to see plenty of other creatures filling out the ranks of a Greenskin Horde at all. As a matter of fact, a good WarBoss and even a good Nob worth their teeth would gladly welcome any manifestation of help. After all, the more they have, the more noise they can make, and more they victories the WarBoss will enjoy, thus instilling his place in Orcish Society for years to come.

Orc Philosiphy

Orcs don't think in terms of win and lose like the rest of creation. Battle is battle and they always win. One can argue this point as long as they wish with an Orc, or as long as they let you stand there flappin' yer jaw, and it won't change a thing.

Orcsez is nebur beetin in battle. If wez win, wez win. If wez die, wez die so it dun't kount as beet. If wez runz fer it, wez dun't die neevur, so wez kan alwayz kum bakk fer anuvver go, see!

Orcs are also the superior race. Their simplistic logic and obvious ranking status makes them basically near perfect, in some ways. They never care about fame, or rank, or word of mouth. If you're so tough, prove it. Plain and simple.

Oomanz are pink und soft, nar tuff und green like da Boyz. Dey'z all der same size tuu - nar big'unz, nar little'unz, zo they'z alwayz argooink bout who'z in charge, cuz ders nar way uf tellink 'cept fer badgez und 'ooniformz und fingz. Anuvver fing - when dey du sumfing, dey try tu makez it luuk like sumfink else tu kunfooze eberywun. When wun uv dem wuntz tu Lord it ovur der uvverz, 'e sez "I'm very speshul so'z yuz gottaz wership me", or "I know summink wot yuz lot dun't know, so yer beddur lissun guud". Da funny fing is, 'arf uf dem believe it, und da ovur 'arf dun't, so 'e 'as tu hit 'dem anywayz or runz fer it. Wot a lot uf mukkin' about it if yuz askz me. An' while derz allz arguins wiv each uvverz wot whos der boss, da Orcs kan sneek up und clobber da lot.

Orc Economy and Teeth

In Orc society, teeth are used as money and form the entire basis of Orc Economy. The teeth must be big, sharp, ivory-like Orc Fangs to have any real value - human teeth won't do at all, nor will those other races. The Orcs have used teeth as money since the beginning of their time. It is a natural form currency, considering the fact that Orcs shed and replace their teeth every few years. This means the number of teeth in circulation never diminishes enough to create a shortage, and that no individual Orc can be reduced to dire poverty for too long. The tooth economy does mean that those with the most teeth are the wealthiest Orcs. Some big Orcs can grow better teeth than the rest. This isn't considered an unfair advantage in Orc Kultur, as anyone tough enough can always clomp them on the head and take their teeth!!!!
